Dutch Bros. Business Plan

Rennika and MacKenzie Doty worked for Oregon-based Dutch Bros. Coffee, and they wanted to own a franchise. Dutch Bros. only offers franchise opportunities to existing employees, and the Doty sisters were exemplary employees. They approached me to write their business plan, and after a conference call, I had all the information necessary to start writing and researching a first draft.

I met with expert financial analyst John Campbell to give him the data he needed to create pro forma financial projections.  Then I started running comps and researching databases to research potential competitors and their total addressable market.  I delivered the first draft one week after our conference call.

Their requested revisions were minimal (a few adjustments to the financials and their management summaries).  With their completed business plan in hand, they began meeting with loan officers.

Within less than a year, they had a bank-approved loan for $500,000.
